I just had the best massage by Quel! After a red eye flight and no sleep, she opened up all my muscles, and Im breathing deeper and calmer since! Just wow! Ill be going back as frequently as possible when in NOLA.

So appreciated the space and the service! Booked a 90 min combo with cbd and hot stones and Kat was incredible. I came in with some intense shoulder trigger point pain. Couldnt sleep, couldnt sit and couldnt stand without discomfort. I had relief during massage but the magic happened after! after 24 hours the pain subsided. I am so grateful! She has a kind energy and intuitively listened to need a of the body. Highly recommend.

I took advantage of Nola Bliss's late appointment schedule, which helped after a stressful day. I had Eric for a hand's massage. He put his whole self into an energetic flow and point massage technique. He moved a lot of stuck energy in places I didn't know needed it with deeply focused moments on areas I indicated before we started. Thanks Eric!

I received a 90 minute ashiatsu massage from Daile and it was absolutely fantastic! I pulled a muscle in my lumbar area. I went to Daile in pain and left floating on a cloud!!! Do yourself a favor and book with her!

Totally welcoming and warm environment

I booked a couples massage to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it could not have been more perfect. Peaceful, serene, and felt AMAZING. We were on cloud 9, its 5 hours later and we still feel perfectly zen. Our therapists were very attentive and took care of us, especially my husband (who is the reason I chose this as his anniversary gift.) He suffers with crippling back pain and Elora was so thoughtful and intentional with him. He was literally glowing afterwards. Im sure I was too! Everyone should book here, cant recommend enough. 1000/10!

The massage itself was great and relaxing. There was a lot of noise outside the building, but inside they did a great joy of making the massage spaces quiet/peaceful.

As a first timer to their space, I was unsure on how their doorbell system and arrivals processed worked and it seems the space does not have a dedicated receptionist to make this clear for guests. At one point I was just standing in the hallway on the 3rd floor because it was unclear where I was to head. I would recommend arriving early, which I did, and somewhat prepare for some uncertainty on the onset until your therapist finds you or you find them. Im sure for repeating folks, this is a non-issue.

I alway come to NOLA bliss massage for my massages. I work with Ahmad, and he is great. But not for the faint of heart. He digs into all the tension and knots. He also listens to what I share that is going on. Ahmad is good at figuring out whats going on. I always feel great after I leave. Much less tensed.

Absolutely spectacular experience! Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Communication with this sort of in depth deep tissue massage is key and I couldnt be happier with the results. For reference Im a Steadicam op where we routinely carry camera loads up to 70+ lbs daily so maintaining care of our bodies is key. Will definitely come back in the future.

I had a wonderful 90 minute ashiatsu massage with hot stones (a belated birthday gift to myself) a few days ago. Deep tissue is my preferred style of massage, and I love any massage that incorporates the use of feet because the pressure is spread across a broader surface area, making the massage so much more therapeutic and soothing (rather than intense and painful). My massage was EXCELLENT, perhaps the best Ive ever gotten. My massage therapist suggested adding the CBD oil for some injuries I have. Everything - all the knots, muscle soreness and inflamed tendons/ligaments and etc. - were drastically less noticeable afterward. I did not have any post-massage soreness, I was just relaxed and pretty much pain-free even well into the next day. I also appreciate the proper massage table with the lowered headrest, the clean and spacious therapy room and careful attention to noise reduction. Super happy to find Nola Bliss and I am excited to book another appointment with them!

Nola bliss is a great place to get a massage, including asiatsu massages. Personnel is very friendly and professional, the rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and the massages have always been great. They have specials regularly as well, which helps bring down the costs of its too expensive for someone. Asiatsu has been so helpful in my life, and my upper back has been in such better shape. I get massages regularly and this is my favorite spot.

This was the best massage I have ever had. My daughter and I went to New Orleans to celebrate our birthdays and decided to get a massage. We absolutely loved it. It truly surpassed our expectations. I didn't realize how much I needed it until I left--completely relaxed. I had Paul and my daughter had Kat. Both were very professional and intune to where we needed the most attention. She then aimed to collect payment but we had a paid in advance. While the ending was subpar the massage from Julie was spectacular! She is truly special. She deserves 10 stars and really cherishes business from the locals of New Orleans.

Listen to me Framily! I have had alot of massages in different parts of the country and once on a beach in Negril, this was in the Top #3 of all time! There were techniques used that I've never experienced. My masseuse was very professional, but extremely thorough. Only thing that didn't get massaged was my breast and my Hello Kitty, but everything else was thoroughly rubbed down. I will be going again and requesting who I had this time. Do your body a favor and go on in there.

Amazing space and place

I had the most phenomenal CBD massage ever! The vibe of the place was incredibly uplifting, and my massage therapist, Val, was truly top-notch! I'll definitely be returning to this spot each time I'm in New Orleans. I felt utterly rejuvenated and soothed! I ended up getting their CBD products, and I'm completely in love with incorporating them into my daily routine!

I go to Nola Bliss at least twice a month because Ive masseuses who can work well with my stubborn muscle knots. Ahmad and Joel are my two favorites one. Def recommend!

I had the most lovely 90 minute prenatal massage at Nola Bliss! They are one of few places Ive found that use a prone pregnancy pillow so you dont have to receive the massage in a side-lying position. It took a minute to get used to, but I was hooked shortly after. Even when I turned onto my back, the therapist made sure to put a large wedge under my back to relieve uterine pressure. I was very impressed with the care they offered in the prenatal massage. I will definitely return next time Im in New Orleans!

Both of our massages were the best we have ever had. Location was a little off the beaten path but the service and price made it all worth it. I would highly recommend.

Bliss was super accommodating squeezing me in for an appointment when I was having some lower back issues, and right before I had to catch my flight home! While on vacation I stumbled upon this spa, which makes its home in a three story building near my hotel in the warehouse district. The booking was easy, the reception was warm and the 60 min massage I had was exceptional!

I found NOLA Bliss on google after searching the area near my hotel, I was driving cross country and only expected to be in NOLA for one day. I am so glad NOLA Bliss was available and could book me that same day, it was so worth it! Massage made me feel like a million bucks. Its one of the best ones Ive had, if not, the best! My husband and I had a couple massage. I wanted to do deep feet ashiatsu and my husband wanted to do massage by hand. You have to call directly to book deep feet ashiatsu so thats what I did. I cannot remember who booked it but it wasnt Val. We arrived at the place and was 8 mins late. I confirmed to Kat who was going to do mine that I booked deep feet and she said it was not booked that way. If I want to do it, they need us to leave the room to reset it. But since were 15 mins behind ( this was after briefing), I decided to just do massage by hand. I was looking forward for deep feet ashiatsu as I had a good experience here before by Laura. Still, Lisa did an amazing job for my husband and Kat did good for mine as she was not able to focus more on my lower back that I mentioned beforehand. Overall, its still a good experience but shouldve been way better if I got what I wanted.

Joel did an unbelievable job. Almost 100% pain relief. Listened to what I told him was hurting. Used a skill level that is hard to come by. So thankful to have found him.

Found Nola Bliss while doing a search for someplace I could get a much needed back massage since my back was feeling super tight. I called at approx. 2:40pm, and because I was walking distance away, they told me I could come at 3pm. Lisa was my massage therapist, and she did a really good job. I was in and out, and back in my hotel room by 4:10pm. Thanks so much!

Aahmad will change your life. Incredibly relaxing and thorough massage; he found all the deepest knots in my shoulders and kneaded them away. I couldn't believe it was only an hour; I swear it felt like 90 minutes of pure bliss (with a little pain, but the good and necessary kind).

I had a 90-minute massage and my therapist was able to work out a long standing knot in my back. Additionally, she was able to work on my feet after a ton of walking around. Unfortunately, I do not live in New Orleans, so I won't have a chance to come back. I would recommend this spot to anyone trying to work out their pains from being in New Orleans.

The massage therapist (Im sorry I forgot his name but it started with an A- maybe Ahmed?) was very attentive and followed what I wanted in the massage. I would definitely come here again on a future trip to New Orleans.

Booked a couples massage here during my recent vacation to New Orleans and it was AMAZING. Kat and Tiffany really took care of us. I had an injury to my shoulder and Tiffany was very careful with it. Her pressure was great and her touch was gentle. My husband was very happy with Kat and said the massage was in his top 3 of best massages he ever had. The owner greeted us and was very pleasant, the spa is clean and nice. I will definitely visit on my next trip. I don't have anything but nice memories of this place. Thank you!!!

I wanted to share how amazing my experience was with my therapist Caitlyn. I booked the Ashiastu. I am a massage therapist myself and Ive worked in 5 star resorts in Miami. Ive massaged celebrities and Ive worked with the best of the best, but when I say I was impressed with Caitlyn this is the understatement of the year. We had a couples massage and the staff was professional, caring, and communicated clearly with us ahead of time about COVID-19 Protocols prior to the massage. We did have to wear a mask when face up but that was fine as the massage was so relaxing. We did a swedish style massage with the cbd and essential oils add on. So relaxing! Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I were in dire need of massage, especially after walking around the city for 6 days. The couples massage with CBD ointment and essential oils was the best! So relaxing, we were happy wet noodles afterwards. It was hard to not pass out! Such a long overdue experience with great masseuses, they were very thorough and attentive, focusing on or avoiding any area that we specified. We also appreciate all the COVID sanitary precautions with masks and hand washing upon entry. We can only hope that our next massage is something close to what we had here!

Noelle Was absolutely Amazing. Was literally a transcendental experience. I never heard of Ashiatsu Massage before but she's been doing it for over 15 years and you can tell. The best deep tissue massage I've ever had and she was able to locate the different knots in my neck and back and was not only able to remove the knots but release the stiffness and tightness in my neck and lower back.

If I lived in New Orleans I would go see her once a week. I did not know that it was possible to feel as well as I did after an hour and a half. Coupled with her (Noelle) Knowledge and Experience and the overall ambiance of the place you will not be disappointed. We had a WONDERFUL couples massage with CBD cream. It was cold outside, but wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and comfort when the massage started. The treatment room was highly serene, very conducive to relaxation. We were quite surprised how quiet it was as well- less street noise than other places we've visited in the city.
Online scheduling was simple, as well as filling out intake forms in advance. Nola Bliss is definitely our new "go to" massage place when we're in town!

Went in for a couples massage with my wife while on our honeymoon. For context, I seek semi-regular massages due to work. This was the most expensive massage I have paid for in my life, and that money was well worth it.

The service we received was absolutely worth every dime, and it was very likely the best massage I've ever had. They managed to work out several problem areas I had after a long week of running around visiting museums and flying. It was absolutely worth every moment we paid and then some. If you're looking for a good massage on the area, and it fits inside your budget, they are worth the money that they charge!

Best last minute massage find ever. We were in town three days for a conference and were tight from the travel here in the airline seats and all the walking. Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I were in dire need of massage, especially after walking around the city for 6 days. The couples massage with CBD ointment and essential oils was the best! So relaxing, we were happy wet noodles afterwards. It was hard to not pass out! Such a long overdue experience with great masseuses, they were very thorough and attentive, focusing on or avoiding any area that we specified. We also appreciate all the COVID sanitary precautions with masks and hand washing upon entry. We can only hope that our next massage is something close to what we had here!

She has a deep knowledge of anatomy and how the muscles and nervous system interact. By the time my hour was up, I was almost entirely pain free. I cant recommend her highly enough.

I am in town for a long weekend trip and was referred to Nola Bliss for a massage! Wow! Did not disappoint. At all. I am an LMT myself and have been having immense pain in my left shoulder/arm area and I have not been taking care of myself very well lately. Gretchen was my massage angel yesterday! We discussed my needs and concerns and she did an amazing job! She focused in on the areas that needed a great deal of attention. We ended up extending the 60 min to a 90 mid session and it was perfect, the facility quickly accommodated the request and I am so glad we did! I picked up a few new techniques as well! Got a much needed massage here the other day. What a wonderful experience. Calming music and nice facilities. Cleanliness is most important to me and the sheets were very clean as well as the pillow you put your face through. My masseuse was very kind and asked me several times if it was ok. Ashiatsu is pretty intense and I had never experienced this type of massage so communication with her became important to get the right pressure. It was amazing. All my tension was gone. I was walking on clouds. Definitely recommend this spot!!!

Came in for a couples massage on a Sunday afternoon. I booked the appointment on Thursday online and was able to get in without a problem. I got multiple reminders via text and email. We arrived at the door which has a large sign out front, so it's easy to find. We called upstairs and they let us in after confirming our appointment. A bit of a hassle, but it made me feel really safe. We walked in and met our masseuses before filling out paperwork and having the usual conversations. The room is warm, comfortable, and smells great. The heated tables were lovely and the white noise machines were great too. They have a bathroom and offered us drinks, but there aren't private bathrooms or changing rooms. They do their best to try to drown out the sirens and chatter on Lafayette street, which is not an easy feat, but we were still very relaxed. We both had a great massage. Our masseuses were very attentive to our goals and focused on the areas that were sore. We left feeling very relaxed. Easy to make an appointment, comfortable room, and attentive masseuses!

We were super last minute honeymooning and neeeeded a massage. The super-sweet bearded guy (I think I heard is the owner's husband. I'm so sorry for not remember your name!), went way above and beyond to make sure he squeezed us in. Kennedy and Eric didn't just help us relax, but they both had to deal with our long term injuries. On top of that, they humored me as I rambled on about our Weird Al themed wedding, along many other things. I don't think any other massage could ever beat this one. HIGHLY recommend them.

Im ready to fly down every month from Michigan for Mckenzie and Faith to fix my husband and I. I have had many massages, but this was by far the best. I cant even think of enough adjectives to express the bliss i was in. My big thing is pressure and when Mckenzie called herself the meat mallet i was ready. My back is a terrible mess--im talking knots on knots--its where i carry all my stress and almost debilitating anxiety. She got IN THERE. No muscle was left untouched, i didnt have to ask her to use more pressure, she just knew based on the condition of my muscles. I melted under her hands. Absolutely incredible. Then hitting those feet after walking the city for 2 days...my rule of thumb is its not a real foot massage if the toes aren't touched. Every little piggy got attention. I cant say enough. I can't wait to come back. I encourage everyone to choose this spa.

I've had two 90 minute Ashiatsu massages from Laura and they've both been phenomenal! The Ashiatsu massage IS a deep tissue massage!, but it really targets my issues. Laura is very professional and really attuned to my areas of tension and knots. My skin glows afterwards, I sleep better, and my energy level improve! Love NOLA Bliss and Laura!

My husband and I had a 60 minute massage and it was amazing! We got there about 10 minutes early and they offered bottled water and tea as we waited. This was my first time and it was relaxing and comfortable the whole time! We had two female masseuses (can't remember their names) and they were both professional and did a great job working our our tense muscles! Understandably, there was nothing to be done about the construction outside, but the room was a comfortable temperature and very clean!

Hands down (pun intended) the best massage I have ever received. In town for work, I had originally booked with Massage Envy at the last minute. The therapist canceled due to illness. Sorry he was sick. But so glad he canceled! I found NOLA Bliss and made an appointment with Jen. This was not a "fluff and buff" type run down. This therapeutic, deep tissue work my runner's body needed. Jen is so knowledgeable, and even though some spots were very tender, she worked me through it and the results are fabulous. I often take care of others and remind them to make time for themselves but forget to practice this as well. A friend gifted me a 90 minute ashiatsu massage as a way to help me relax and I agreed to give it a try.

I arrived early to make sure I found parking and to fill out the client intake form so that it wouldn't run into my service time. My appt was at 3 pm, but I got there around 2 pm. Since my treatment was 90 minutes I parked directly across the street and paid for 3 hours = $17.25 through the pay by text method. I couldn't get away parking on side streets since it was only 2 hours max. Parking cost was a little steep.

Kennedy was my therapist and she was very friendly. I loved that she was super knowledgeable and purposeful with each movement. I appreciated her ability to control the level of intensity and she made sure I was relaxed while working out my problematic areas. The intensity was based on a scale from 1-10. I went up to a 7 at some points but just breathed through it. What really made my experience exceptional was my therapist Kennedy. Her vibe and personality made my first ashiatsu experience so comfortable and relaxing. I am still trying to accept that I had a full massage with someone's feet. Ha! I will end it here by thanking Kennedy for helping my slight arm injury from axe throwing, too!

We were in NOLA on vacation when I woke up in paralyzing pain. This place was close to the hotel we were staying at and they had an opening and I was so lucky. I am somewhat of a massage aficionado, always trying different styles/techniques/spas and based on the reviews, I knew I had to add the Ashiatsu experience to my repertoire. It was every bit of amazing that other reviewers said it was. Kennedy had a great flow, technique, pressure, and the smoothest/softest feet I never knew existed. I've been going here for three years and every therapist who has worked on me is knowledgeable and skilled. I love that it's super easy to book online. Ashiatsu and hand massage (with or without hot stones) all feel amazing. I hold muscular tension from work on my neck and shoulders and the massage really helps relieve the tense muscles. They're very good about making sure the pressure is appropriate. The music (love the whale sounds) and essential oils are very relaxing--you pretty much forget you're in the CBD.

I'm so happy I was able to get a couples massage appointment here during our short stay in New Orleans. We had the 90 minutes couples massage ($130pp) and it was so enjoyable that I am trying to figure out if we can go again before we leave in 2 days. My husband had Val for a Swedish massage and I had Odessa for a deep tissue. When we arrived we filled out a short questionnaire and our masseuses asked about pressure and areas of concentration. Odessa was spot on! I haven't been that relaxed or had that good of a massage in a long time. I highly recommend Nolita Bliss!

- The staff didn't buzz me in, I buzzed multiple times and there wasn't any answer. I waited at the door about to call but staff from one of the other businesses was walking a customer out and let me in.
- Be prepared to walk three flights of stairs, this didn't really bother me but I know it could be an issue for some people.

This was my first Ashiatsu Massage and it was really great!
I was in NOLA for work and had a free afternoon, I saw that some people said they were able to schedule same day treatments so I messaged them through Yelp and they had two slots available! I called to set the appointment and they need a credit card to hold the appointment.
When you arrive you have to be buzzed in, and since the elevator is broken you have to walk up three flights of stairs.
I was immediately greeted by the staff and asked to take a seat. Then my massage therapist came by a few moment later and brought me into the treatment room. I was given an information form to complete and left alone while I completed it. After the therapist came back, reviewed my paper and we proceeded to discuss the session. She explained the order and each step of the massage. I had been having a lot of neck, shoulder, and upper back pain so I explained that to the message therapist and she really focused in that area. As someone who doesn't get massages often and since this was a new experience it was nice that everything was explained upfront. I was left in the room to get undressed and under the covers, the headrest wasn't quite where I needed it, so it was adjusted for me. Then the fun started. Throughout I was asked if the the pressure was okay and if the stones temperature was okay. It was nice to be asked and a few times I did ask for a little lighter pressure and the therapist was able to adjust easily.
I got the 90 minute Hot Stone Ashiatsu Massage, I'm sure the massage alone would have been great but the hot stones were amazing, certainly worth the extra $15.
That night I still felt really tense in my shoulders and neck, so I thought maybe she just got as much out as she could and I'm just really stressed, but the next day I felt like a whole new person! All the pain and tension is gone and I couldn't be more excited!!! I feel so good and you can too!!!

Such a great massage, 100% recommend in booking this place. It was incredibly close to our hotel too. It seems like the elevator is taking a while to get repaired, but we didn't mind the 3 flights of stairs. It's a very nice, quiet and soothing studio. Bathroom was very clean. We did a 60 minutes couples massage and it was a life changing experience. Our ladies were really great and my boyfriend was incredibly impressed with how he felt afterwards. Wish I remembered the names of the ladies who did our massages because both were very professional and fantastic. Both ladies provided us with great feedback after our massage and honestly, we just want to book another massage already. Feeling so relaxed right now and we'll definitely be back.

An amazing massage parlor. Great relaxing ambience and a kind and attentive staff. Odessa was my massage therapist and she was great at focusing on my problem areas and an all around joy to interact with. The massages are very reasonably priced. Hard to beat a full body deep tissue at 95 for an hour. A great way to end your trip if you're on vacation like I was. Definitely would go back.

I've had many massages in the past, but this one had to be the best hands down. I told my massage therapist, Betty, that I wanted her to focus on my upper back and she did not disappoint! In the past, I've had the massages where I felt like they were just slipping and sliding over my muscles, but Betty really targeted my problem areas and worked out my knots. I felt like she was really in tune with my body and took the time to really work out the areas that felt tense. In the end, I felt so relaxed and satisfied! I definitely recommend this place. They seem to have highly trained professionals who know what they're doing.

Booked a couples massage and couldn't have been happier. My husband and I were visiting NOLA for his birthday and spoiled ourselves with a massage. The location is great, and for those who have taken stars off because of the location, need to get a reality check. This place is near downtown, we walked from our hotel in CBD and is 1 block away from Old 77 Hotel so let's not freak out about it being somewhere sketchy or that you need to call up to get let in.

This is a really cute place. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the way you have to enter the building. If you're not familiar with the area I can seem a bit sketchy, although it really is not! You have to go to the call box and send a signal upstairs they verify your name and your appointment time and buzz you in. It is really clean, the staff is knowledgeable and efficient. I will say the A shiatsu technique is probably not one that I would revisit however they do a regular body massages as well. There are also some great restaurants nearby. Be sure to give it a try if you're in the area!

I highly recommend the Ashiatsu type of Massage. I've had traditional deep tissue massages before. But after having that type of massage it was totally different and felt rejuvenating highly recommend this place. The parking situation is pay to park so if you live locally and can walk I recommend doing so or taking a cheap uber.

I was walking around New Orleans one day and the next, i woke up with immense sciatica pain. i immediately starting yelping massages in the local area and found this place. i sent a message through yelp with my phone number and immediately got a call back. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue/ashiatsu and walked the 6 blocks to get there. (they took my credit card info over the phone to hold my spot). turns out they had availability in an hour and half from the time i called. i got buzzed in and went up the elevator. i met Val, from France and she spent the next 90 minutes giving me a precise deep tissue massage on my calves and sciatica. she healed me. i felt so much like melted butter on her table i almost couldn't flip over. Highly recommended for deep tissue. I feel so blessed to have found someone on the first try. After having 3 C-sections over the years, i don't really have a core anymore so i know i will be back! I booked a 60 minute couples massage session for me and my boyfriend as a birthday gift for my boyfriend's birthday! we had such an AMAZING experience. This was our first time ever getting massages so we didn't know what to expect but the entire experience was so pleasant. The massage beds are super comfortable and warm and cozy, the music playing in the room is extremely soothing and our amazing therapists Andrea and Lilly did a fantastic job. Nirvana! My first Ashiatsu massage and it was beyond incredible! My chronic neck pain went away and I was able to sleep at night again. I am telling you this place is a hidden treasure and great location! I had an amazing shampoo and blow-dry right next door on the same floor after my massage . I went with the traditional massage, and my boyfriend tried the The Ashiatsu Massage. My massage therapist talked to me beforehand to learn where I usually had issues, and she really focused on making sure that she spent adequate time on these areas. I wasn't feeling great when I walked in there that morning...but I felt absolutely amazing by the time that I left. The staff was very friendly overall.

When I originally tried to call to make an appointment, no one answered, but I immediately received a text message saying that I would receive a call back shortly. About 20 minutes later, someone did call me back and helped make my reservation. You can also book online if you prefer.

I'm not sure of the parking situation, as we just walked from our hotel. You will need to be buzzed into the building, but this is all communicated on their website and in your confirmation emails. You definitely need to book your massage in advance.

In town for a festival and felt the need for a reset after a busy winter and full weekend. This place had solid, legible reviews - an online booking function that was easy to navigate - and unique options on fairly short notice. I had never had the ashiatsu treatment before and although my personal provider was still very new, she was really able to get her heel into some deep pockets of muscle that needed that degree of treatment. The whole process was pretty frictionless and straightforward - well worth the slight price increase over the other options I was able to find relatively nearby. A well thought out biz plan - check out the juice bar a few blocks away afterwards to get a full circle experience!

Sarah was fantastic and I'd follow her anywhere...the massage was firm, deep and thorough. I left feeling almost as if I had a Thai massage, I was so relaxed and worked over, in a good way.

My husband stated that Odessa gives a very nice massage but you might need to ask for a firmer touch if you are looking for a deep tissue massage.

Working as a nurse can be hard on my body but this two hour massage had me feeling like a new person! Andrea was kind and receptive to what I was looking for in terms of pressure and so on. I have had many massages over the years and I can honestly say that John at Nola Bliss is a top notch therapist with amazing technique and intuition (both which are extremely important to the profession). She is a wonderful communicator and really made you feel taken care of. A therapeutic massage that was also relaxing and I walked away with some body work self care recommendations. I just had the most amazing massage of my life. My therapist, Betsey, listen to all the issues that I have been having with tense muscles and focused on them to make me feel so much better. I had a wonderful experience at NOLA Bliss Massage. The booking experience online was easy and convenient. Best of all my massage therapist was a true master of her craft. I asked for medium pressure and it was just the right combination of relaxing strokes and intermittent deeper kneading to get the knots out. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in New Orleans!

I think the Ashiatsu massage was the best massage I've ever had! It really got into the deep tissue without being too sharp. Skylar really honed in on the knots in my back and neck and obliterated them. Amazing. Feeling great today!

Went for a couples massage with my husband. I loved the natural lighting and crisp set up of the place. Only downside is you have to pay for parking, but it's NOLA.

I've had ashiatsu many times before, and always try to schedule a session when I travel. The downtown location was convenient to the convention center where my conference was being held. I have a long history of lower back pain, and recent left arm and shoulder pain from multiple nerve compressions. So I decided to give Nola Bliss a try. I admit I was initially a bit put off by the old building on a side street - but then I remembered, this is New Orleans! Sara was very welcoming and friendly. She really seemed to listen to all my problems, and followed my prompts during the massage itself. I'm used to living with lots of stress, and it's hard for me to completely relax, but Sara's manner soon put me at ease. She seemed to know exactly which areas to focus on, as well as when to be gentle and when to be firm.
If you've never had ashiatsu before, there's nothing better for deep muscle pain. The very firm pressure may take some getting used to for some, but I've always enjoyed it and can't imagine going back to Swedish-style massage.
So treat yourself and check out Nola Bliss the next time you're in the Big Easy!

My husband and I went for a couple's massage today and left feeling totally relaxed. The massage studio is on the top floor of this older building and has so much character. Very charming. The massage therapists were great and allowed us to totally relax. They left it up to us to tell them if we needed more or less pressure. They checked in with us once as we were turning over. At the end my therapist mentioned that I have a lot of muscle tension and she's totally right. I had more tension than I thought. I am so glad that I got a massage and will not let so much time go before my next one. I only wish we lived closer so I could come back here. Ps. I am a massage therapist myself and I highly recommend!

Minutes 1-3: Okay, very similar to a standard massage.
Minute 4: Aaaand that's a foot.
Minute 5: No, not dreaming - it's still a foot.

Minute 7: This is incredible.
Minute 8: I think I feel my chi floating above my body.
Minute 9: Yeah, this is an out of body experience.
Minute 10: BRB, I'm meditating on a cliff in the Himalayas.
Minute 40: I'm back, it's only been 40 minutes? Incredible!
Minute 41: I didn't realize hamstrings could have knots, and furthermore that they could be massaged out.

If you're on the fence about shiatsu, hop over it now. Words can only explain so much, but the pressure is very even due to the techniques used. I get massages once per week and I've never had a massage that left me feeling perfect - 40% relaxed, 40% rejuvenated, and 20% inspired that it was still possible for my body to feel so great! I've read the old reviews, and I can confirm that NOLA Bliss Massage is no longer operated out of a private residence, it's in an office.

Scheduled a last minute couples massage and thank goodness we did! John and Ingrid were wonderful. John was very skilled at giving me the deep tissue/neuromuscular massage I needed for all of my soreness. He found every point of tension with little direction and worked magic! Initially, I sought out this practice because I had a... craving to try Ashiatsu massage. (I guess it was a fantasy experience--something luxurious I had seen in the movies.) From my first appointment with Sara (years ago) to my most recent (just a week ago), NOLA Bliss has maintained my highest regard.

My experiences with NOLA Bliss massage therapists have always alleviated stress-related tension and pain (my main complaints). Plus, after being worked on by an intuitive and well-trained therapist, I leave with a new sense of my internal physicality.

I'm a dedicated patron of massage. I've been to massage therapists all over the greater New Orleans area. Often I select an appointment that's close by my current workplace or simply available on short notice. Because of this, I have sampled many massage practices from Belle Chasse to Metairie.

In my opinion, NOLA Bliss is second to none. The price is right. The staff is truly expert. And this downtown location is beautiful and easy to access.

I am a therapist in another state, and came to Nola with a sore hip that's been acting up for over a month. I had a busy and active week on my agenda so i booked an appointment with John Dominio first thing!
He really helped get to some deep issues and i know that seeing him before my conference took off allowed me to be present and more active with it.
I again seen him before i headed out again to continue to let my leg and hip release and heal from all the workouts and walking i did that week.

EXCELLENT and well needed after walking around town for a few days. John, my message therapist, had the right touch to help smooth out my tight neck and back muscles. I called for a last minute appointment and they were able to get me in promptly. It's right by the hotel we're staying at, The Staybride Hotel. Not a lot of fluff, but very clean and affordable compared to the other spas in the neighborhood.

Andrea was a very skilled massage therapist. She tailored the massage to my needs and i was very relaxed afterwards. Good use of essential oils.
